January 17 ASSE Chapter Meeting on OSHA’s New Standard on Walking and Working Surfaces

Happy New Year from the ASSE South Plains Chapter.

We will be having our regular monthly meeting on January 17, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at River Smiths Chicken and Catfish on Ave. Q and 5th Street in Lubbock.  Come early at 6:00 p.m. for dinner and networking.  There is never a charge for attending a meeting.

Our speaker will be ASSE Professional Member and President of our Panhandle Chapter, Brian D. Bailey, M.Eng., OHST..  Brian is the Senior Safety Consultant at Xcel Energy in Amarillo and will be speaking on OSHA’s recent update to Subpart D, “Walking-Working Surfaces?”  This final rule became effective January 17, 2017, and has several compliance deadlines coming later in the year and next year.
