May 2nd Lunch and Learn on Mosquito Management in 2017

You’re invited to our next Lunch and Learn on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017 from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Mosquito Management in 2017.

Topics include:

  • Status of Zika and other mosquito-vectored diseases
  • Identification of mosquitoes that transmit diseases
  • Basic IPM practices to reduce populations
  • Best preventative measures

The main presentation will be at TTUHSC, 3601 4th Street in Lubbock with Techlink broadcast to the other campus locations in Abilene, Amarillo, Odessa, and El Paso, see locations below.

Our speaker will be Katelyn Kesheimer, PhD, Entomologist and IPM Agent with Texas A&M AgriLife, see her bio below.

No lunch will be provided for this event.  Continuing education credit will be available following the event at this Survey Monkey link.

About our Speaker:

Dr. Katelyn Kesheimer is an Extension Agent-Integrated Pest Management (IPM) with Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service in Lubbock and Crosby counties. Her goal is to help agricultural producers and homeowners achieve efficient, sustainable pest control though educational IPM programs.

Katelyn has a B.S. and M.S. in Biology from Eastern Illinois University and a Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Kentucky. Her background is in conservation biological control of agricultural pests. Originally from Connecticut, she and her husband moved to Texas in 2016.
