October 18 Tour of Jones Station – Rescheduled!

In September at the last minute, Ben Maldonado, President of the South Plains Chapter had to cancel our dinner and tour of the Jones Station.

• Our meeting has now been rescheduled for October 18!

On Tuesday, October 18, we will be doing a tour of Jones Station, Xcel Energy with our President, Benjamin Maldonado, CSHO.  So we will again not be meeting at River Smiths Chicken and Catfish in Lubbock for our regular meeting.

Mark Barton, Plant Director for Jones Station will be our Host and provide supper starting at 6:00 p.m., with the plant tour starting at 6:30 p.m.

1. Google: Jones Station Power Plant, Texas
2. Old fashioned way…Jones Station is SE of Lubbock.  Take FM 3020 east to Jones Station.  The plant is located just over 2 miles east of the intersection of the Slaton Hwy. (84) and Southeast Drive (331) in Lubbock
